Let us be honest: Duisburg has quite offered a lot this year: 'Ruhr2010' was great, the 'Local Heroes' were great, the 'Accents' were great. Not to forget: The Days of Dance and the Children's Cultural Festival. Other highlights are already marked in the calendar and are in prospect: the film week, the Dreamtime Festival and the Love Parade. So slowly you get the feeling of living in a big city, which also behaves like one. In every corner there's something for every taste. Beautiful evenings and weekends were and are given to us, under the leadership of the Duisburg Marketing GmbH (DMG). The Crux: all this costs money - and a lot. Money, which also raise by major sponsors is not complete and is missing in the city treasury. Unfortunately, the cultural budget of local authorities are often high on the list when it comes to saving's.

What can we do?

We, a coalition of Duisburg and national creative agencies and creative artists want to make together with you to ensure that the cultural offer of the city is supported and can grow. We are here and now actively and ensure that the curtain begins to rise to just not fall again. We do not want is to save our lives. We therefore want to be the boost to our financially emaciated and ailing city. Join the community and demonstrate initiative together with us!

Our First Baby: The Love Parade

The Love Parade, to be attended our first baby, a desire for a child, for others a concern. It grows and thrives and promises to be very funny when it's grown up. On the other hand it consumes quite what. Whatever You like the Love Parade: It comes, it's free - and they also eat out of your pot. So let 'us fill the pot a little, so that enough remains for all. Indeed, we provide in the future at a few other pretty babies.
