At Steven Canarius grafic studio in Bambegr/Germany Hainstr. 6, Steven will present an exclusive exhibition with my painted findings about masculinty. At the 'Gentlemen's Night' I will introduce some extra-ordinary point of views to a VIP audience. The evening will be moderated by Dr. Kaussen, who works for the German ARD Studio.
You think you know your masculinity?
… then test it out at an exclusive boxing training session organized especially for the opening of Ralf Metzenmacher’s exhibition “Masculinity today?”. Learn to box with former trainers of King Arthur Abraham at the ETSV boxing stall in Bamberg.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to work up a sweat. But whoever wants to can! Just like in so many things in life...
Together with femininity, this subject is currently experiencing a resurge of interest. To see this, you only have to look at recent editions of the two most popular German weekly magazines, SPIEGEL and ZEIT. But masculinity is also a historical theme, a subject that has occupied us from the time of Adam and Eve right up to modern society today. Fashion, cars, music, smoking cigars... – there are so many ways of demonstrating your own entirely personal masculinity.
My current guest Ralf Metzenmacher has taken an interest in masculinity over the last few years and has dedicated an entire cycle of paintings to the subject, just as he also did with femininity. The former successful PUMA-designer lives in Bamberg and has been working on this incendiary subject for several years. He has captured his stunning perceptions and painful truths in grandiose strokes on canvas. Take a look at the world through his eyes.
Metzenmacher’s mix of art and design fascinated me right from the start. His professionalism and vision complement my own work-related ideas perfectly. And so it is an absolute MUST for me to introduce you to this up and coming artist at my premises. From Bamberg, for the world.
A "evening for men“ centred around masculinity awaits you – presented by radio presenter Dr. Stephan Kaußen. A private viewing in a relaxed atmosphere with interviews and subsequent discussions in my lounge rooms. Look forward to quality and prominence in one of the most beautiful settings that Bamberg has to offer refreshing characters, newcomers and creative minds. Bamberg needs bearers of hope who are prepared to take on challenges in the current difficult financial climate. People who are prepared to invest in the welfare of society.
