3. The Grand Snail II
A symbol of femininity

The story
I brought this fresh water snail shell back with me from a trip to Venezuela. I found it in a dried up river on a "Hato" (an enormous agricultural area about the size of Saarland). This twisted black snail shell with a contrasting midpoint of white lime, was for me the starting point for the different portrayals of femininity.
Once again I painted this grand model on a sand coloured foundation casting a hard shadow.
